FAQ

What's the difference between an Air Conditioner and an Air Cooler?

An Air Conditioner uses refrigerant to actively cool a room and is more powerful for hot, stuffy spaces. An Evaporative Air Cooler draws air through ice-cooled water to circulate a cooler, humidified breeze, and uses less energy.

Do Portable Air Conditioners need to be vented outside?

Yes. A Portable Air Conditioner needs its exhaust hose vented through a window or door. Our 9000 BTU 4-in-1 Portable Air Conditioner is supplied with window kits for easy setup.

Which is quieter, a Fan or an Air Cooler?

Both are designed for quiet running. Our 5L Evaporative Air Cooler runs at around 40dB, our Low Energy DC Motor Pedestal Fans run as low as 38dB, and our Bladeless Tower Fan has a sleep mode below 45dB.

Can I use an Air Cooler in a small bedroom?

Yes. The 5L Evaporative Air Cooler has three fan speeds, a Night mode and a 7 hour timer, which suits bedrooms and overnight use. Our Tower Fans and Pedestal Fans also include Night modes.

How much space can a Portable Air Conditioner cool?

Our 9000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner is designed for rooms up to 450 sq ft, so it suits living rooms, bedrooms and home offices.

Do I need to refill the water tank on an Air Cooler?

Yes. The 5L tank provides up to 10 hours of cooling and comes with two reusable ice packs. Remove the tank to refill it when the level runs low.
