FAQ
What's the difference between an electric blanket and a heated throw?
An Electric Blanket is designed to warm the bed before or during sleep, fitting like a fitted sheet under your bedding, while a Heated Throw is a portable blanket better suited to warming up on the sofa, in a chair, or anywhere else in the home.
Are electric blankets and heated throws safe to use all night?
Our Electric Blankets and Heated Throws include overheat protection for added safety, but always check your specific product's guidance, as some electric blankets are designed to preheat the bed before switching off rather than running all night.
Can electric blankets and heated throws be washed?
The heating element itself cannot be submerged, but many of our Electric Blankets have a detachable control unit allowing the fabric to be machine washed, and our Heated Throws are designed to be fully machine washable.
What sizes and colours are available?
Electric Blankets come in single, double and king size to fit most UK beds, while Heated Throws are available in a range of colours including navy, grey, brown and cream to suit your home.
How much does it cost to run an electric blanket or heated throw?
Both are designed to warm you directly rather than heating a whole room, making them a more targeted and cheaper alternative to running central heating overnight.
How many heat settings do they have?
Our Heated Throws offer 9 adjustable heat settings, and our Electric Blankets include adjustable heat control, so you can find your ideal level of warmth.
