FAQ
What's the difference between a Hotplate and an Induction Hob?
Our Double Hot Plate heats through cast iron plates and works with aluminium, copper, cast iron and non-magnetic stainless steel pans. An Induction Hob heats the pan itself using electromagnetism, which is fast and efficient but needs induction-compatible cookware.
Can I use any pan on an Induction Hob?
No. Induction Hobs need pans with a magnetic base, so check that your cookware is induction-compatible before use.
How do Buffet Warmers keep food hot?
A Buffet Warmer has adjustable heated trays with a temperature dial from 105°C to 185°C, plus clear lids and removable trays. We have 3, 4 and 5 pan versions.
Is a portable Hotplate good for a caravan or student flat?
Yes. Our Double Hot Plate and Double Induction Hob are compact and portable, which suits caravans, student accommodation or as a backup cooking option.
Can a Buffet Warmer also be used as a Hotplate?
Yes. Remove the outer trays and the Buffet Warmer works as a Hotplate for keeping plates, bowls and Gravy Jugs warm.
What is a Teppanyaki Grill?
